Because of the location of our farms, we are able to grow bananas consistently and to the highest quality all year round! That means you can enjoy ONE Bananas any time of the year.
The Cavendish banana is by far the most common and popular banana in the world. Picked green from the banana plant, the Cavendish banana transforms into a deep yellow when ripe indicating that the sweet fruit is ready for you to enjoy!
Actually, bananas do not grow on trees. Bananas are tall herb plants that reach upward to 25 feet tall!
One hectare is almost two and half acres. Multiply that by the 6,000 hectares of ONE Banana farms… that’s a lot of bananas!
Organic produce refers to produce grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms (GMO). For produce to be labeled organic, they must come from farms that have passed strict guidelines and standards to be certified organic. ONE Bananas are USDA Organic Certified.
Certification by the Rainforest Alliance means that our farms are managed according to the rigorous environmental, social and economic criteria designed to conserve wildlife, safeguard soils and waters, protect workers, their families and local communities, and increase livelihoods in order to achieve true, long term sustainability. Bananas are best stored at room temperature and will keep for 3 – 5 days. To slow them from ripening too quickly, wrap the banana stems with plastic wrap. If you want to ripen them more quickly, keep them in a closed container or with other fruit, such as an apple.
